UK Craft Beers Spotlight on Paradigm Brewery
Good real ales can be hard to find, especially ones with traditional tastes and good hops. Finding the perfect pint is difficult, but Paradigm is here to answer ale lover’s prayers.
Based in Sarrat, Hertfordshire, Paradigm is an English brewery that focuses on traditional real ales with natural ingredients. The English brewers have a capacity of 150,000 liters per year and have been established since 2015, giving them over five years to perfect their recipes. Nothing tastes better than a locally-brewed pint, so why go for a mass-produced option?
Not only that, but their pale and fruity ale “Low Hanging Fruit” won a Maidenhead Camra award, proving the brand’s prowess on the craft scene. If you like refreshing ales with citrusy flavours this is the ale for you. Low Hanging Fruit is brewed with spring malt from Suffolk and hops from New Zealand and the USA to create a pint that captures tastes from around the world.
Another showstopper to try is “Black Friday”, Paradigm’s strong, dark mild. This is brewed with five dark malts, giving the drink a complex flavour with smooth, sweet and smoky notes. Black Friday is a Paradigm favourite and fans of the brewers have rated this pint as one of their best on Untapped.
Paradigm proudly uses natural ingredients in their brewing, no nasty extras are found in their pints! This gives their ales a true local taste, something hard to capture with added chemicals. The team chose not to add artificial elements in their brews, when you drink a Paradigm ale you won’t have any Magicol AC, Salicon Liquid, or Zeolite 63 – just pure natural goodness.
When it comes to UK beers sometimes traditional is best, that’s why we are proud to stock Paradigm along with our selection of UK craft beers. Our founder Chris is a friend of the Paradigm team and has been enjoying the beers crafted by owners Neil and Rob since before relocating to Zurich. When craft beers are this good, they need to be shared!
